In the aftermath of the so-called “Jaron Wave” the massive influx of players following popular content creator Yeah_Jaron’s recent video, a new political party has emerged that claims to represent the interests of the server’s newest members.
Calling themselves the United Jaronites Movement (UJM), the movement argues that many of the new players have been taken advantage of by more veteran players through higher rents, overpriced supplies, and a lack of political representation. Their manifesto paints a picture of a growing gap between the veteran and new players.
Interview with the founder and leader of UJM, Troniq
Beyond representing new players, what specific policies would your movement advocate for?

“Apart from supporting new players, one of our central goals is the redistribution of wealth and the establishment of a social system to ensure financial safety and, most importantly, financial opportunities for everyone. This is an important part of a democracy, such as we have on our server, whose continuance is really important to the UJM. Concretely, we are trying to work with the existing progressive tax system to account for the gap between poor and rich players, which was clearly unfolded by Redmont Press, as well as controlling and regulating the currently rapidly rising rent to make housing affordable for everyone. We would also like to verify if there really is need to keep tax exemptions for some private entities, as it’s currently the case. “
If elected, what would be your first proposal?
![]()
“While there are many issues that we would start working on, increasing the taxes on the ultra rich landholders to increase the budget and allow for a more competitive market seems to be the most pressing issue. We would also work on the supervision of the Spawn shop district which has seen the most unfair business practises.”
How do you plan to improve the experience of new players without harming more veteran players?
![]()
“The changes we are proposing will benefit the whole server, new and veteran players equally. By admitting the new players into society, the market gets more competitive, and therefore the quality of living is increased. The whole server will derive an advantage from the growth of the economy and internal markets. To relate to your question directly, a social system taking a small amount from richer players cannot be considered as a system causing “harm” for the veteran players, since it is the responsibility of the socially and financially stronger to help the weaker and weakest players in a democracy.”
Housing appears to be one of your biggest concerns. What reforms would you support to make housing more accessible?
![]()
“We would push for more landlord oversight and better tenant rights. The best initiative we can compare it to right now is the “New Player Housing Act”, going through the House of Representative right now – though it’s too vague for our liking and doesn’t go far enough with its goals.”
Are you seeking alliances with other political parties?
![]()
“Currently, we are in a very early stage as a movement; we aren’t even registered as a party. That means that we first have to establish internal systems, as well as our charter before we can think about alliances. We obviously are in contact with some of the parties, but it’s too early for us to talk about these discussions.”
What message would you send to established players who are skeptical of your movement?
![]()
“Older and veteran players, are a really important part of the server. We don’t want to downplay the work you have done, and neither do we want to replace you. What we want, is a fair society, which cannot be achieved without working together. The Jaron wave created massive interested in DemocracyCraft – let everyone enjoy it.”
